Become a Mentee
Greater Syracuse Disability Mentoring Day is an opportunity for students or job-seekers to spend part of the day visiting an area employer to learn about what that company does and become more familiar with the tasks of specific jobs.
Disability Mentoring Day enables students and job-seekers to spend part of a day visiting a business or government agency that matches their interests and have one-on-one time with volunteer mentors. It is an opportunity for you to learn what it means to work in that field or occupation - observe a typical workday; identify necessary skills; and learn about possible internships or employment prospects. While DMD is a one-day event, mentors and mentees are encouraged to stay in touch after the event.
If you are an individual with a disability who is interested in participating in Greater Syracuse Disability Mentoring Day, please submit a Mentee Application (see below). You will be notified at least a week before the event of where you will be having your mentoring experience.
